This bright and spacious restaurant caters well for families with high chairs and a  children’s menu.  Here you can enjoy tapas, seafood and traditional paella overlooking the water at Port Vell Marina.   The restaurant is located just over the bridge at the bottom of the Rambla and by the entrance to the Maremagnum shopping centre.   The namesake of this family-friendly restaurant, Chipirones themselves,  are small batter fried squid which are usually a hit with the kids.

This relaxed and friendly, neighbourhood café in the heart of the Raval, run by an Aussie-Brit partnership serves up delicious and original food at reasonable prices.  With an emphasis on top quality ingredients, everything at Caravelle is made on site, from the craft beer at their nano brewery, to the homemade tomato ketchup, hot sauces and burger buns.  With brunch now a big part of the Barcelona dining scene, you won’t have to wait until the weekend to enjoy delicious home-toasted muesli, coconut french toast and poached eggs.   Breakfast and lunch are served throughout the week (Dinner daily except Sundays and Mondays).  Children are welcome and portions sizes can be adapted for little appetites.
