The Museu Blau Museum of Natural History

The Museu Blau is Barcelona’s Natural History and Science Museum housing permanent and temporary exhibitions as well as a explorative space for under 7’s.

Located on the outskirts of town at the Parc del Fòrum, the Museu Blau features a 500 m2 main exhibition space, small Mediterranean garden and workshops for children The museum also has a restaurant and gift shop.  The permanent exhibition – Planeta Vida (Planet Life),  examines the history of life on earth and its co-evolution with the planet.   Several installations are located in the open patios, each of which feature natural sounds taken from the Museum collection.

Open: Winter timetable: from October 1 to May 31: Tuesday to Friday: 10 am to 7 pm and Saturday and Sunday: 10am to 8pm
Summer timetable: from June 1 to September 30: Tuesday to Sunday: 10 am to 9 pm
Open days on the first Sunday of every month and every Sunday from 3 pm
Price: Under 16’s Free;  Combined ticket for Museu Blau and Botanical Garden: €7, Botanical Garden ticket: €3.50
