In the weekly, one-hour prenatal classes, mums-to-be are encouraged to prepare physically as well as emotionally for delivery and parenthood. You will work with breathing and relaxation techniques, visualizations, movement, and meditation. There is also time to share experiences in the group and make some new friends at the tea and chat time after the sessions which are held at the Playhouse in Gràcia. As well as information on giving birth, the classes also address both the physical and emotional changes that you go through during pregnancy. Group in English. Tuesdays from 8pm to 9pm with 30 min tea and chat afterwards.
MamAmigas is an international English-speaking mums (and dads!) group who meet mainly in the Sagrada Familia area. The group is organised as a cooperative and between participants various Meet-ups, a weekly Singalong music group, and a monthly Beach Picnic are organised. The group also serves as a local support network for many parents who share items from car-seats to childcare and organic veg-boxes, or simply advice on where to buy things or how to apply for schools. All ages and stages of family are welcome, anyone can join and its free. For net safety, membership is allowed after having met someone in person to ensure that you are a bonafide parent.

Creixer amb Tu
Free educational sessions for parents offered by the Catalan government. The classes help families during a child's initial development from 0-3 years and consist of 6 workshops that provide support and information in the form of 2 guides (children from 0-18 month and 18 months to 36 months). Sessions address themes such as "Welcoming a new family member", "Caring for a newborn", "Interaction and Communication", "Development and Education".

St George's Church Barcelona
An Anglican church with a multi-racial and multi-denominational community located in Barcelona. The church has a Sunday School programme for children aged 3-12 as well as a youth group for teenagers. Also hosted ar the church are popular events such as the Christmas Fair and Summer that include family activities.
American Society of Barcelona
The membership of the American Society of Barcelona (ASB) is a wonderful mixture of nationalities - about half American and half European. What draws most people to the American Society is a desire to be involved in the English speaking community of Barcelona for both social interaction and business networking. The ASB sponsors a variety of gatherings throughout the year including a monthly Happy Hour, cultural outings, traditional American celebrations such as a 4th of July picnic and Thanksgiving Dinner as well as local celebrations like an annual Calçotada and much more.
