“Clicks”, as Playmobil characters are popularly known here in Spain, have their own annual festival in Barcelona.  The Fira de Clicks, now in its 4th year, is held over a weekend in May at the Poble Espanyol.

At the fair, you can discover the world of Playmobil and the toys that have delighted kids for generations. As Barcelona is celebrating the 25th anniversary of hosting the Olympic Games, this year’s event has adopted this theme.  Also, for Playmobil fans, there will be a detailed scene devoted to the different eras of humankind from prehistoric times through Egyptian and Roman civilisations, the birth of Islam, Middle Eastern societies, the Wild West all the way up through the Industrial Revolution.

The Fira de Clicks also includes kids’ activities such as biscuit baking, crafts, a treasure hunt game and face painting.  Children can also kick back and enjoy sometime at the Cineclicks featuring Playmobil animated projections.  Lunch will be available at one of the food trucks on site and plenty of playmobil characters will be on sale for anyone looking to boost their collection.
