Casa Amatller BarcelonaEvery Saturday, children can take part in workshops at the Casa Amatller whilst their parents visit the Manzana de la Discordia trio of Gaudi's famous Paseig de Gràcia buildings.

The Fundacio Institut Amatller d'Art Hispanic was established in 1941 by Teresa Amatller, daughter of Antoni Amatller, a chocolate manufacturer, traveller and art collector.  The foundation promotes research into the history of Hispanic Art and runs workshops and other activities for children in this beautiful building by a contemporary of Gaudi, Puig i Cadafalch.   On Saturdays at 11am, children's workshops take place which finish off with participants enjoying a cup of Amatller hot chocolate.   The Manzana de la Discordia ( three adjoining buildings known as the "Block of Discord") consist of the Casa Amatller itself, the Casa Lleo Morera (by Domènech i Monaner) and Gaudi's most famous of buildings on this street, the Casa Batllo.
