Barcelona is the first European city to have a museum dedicated to the Olympics . Also a museum of sport, the centre has interactive exhibitions and activities.
The Museu Olímpic i de L'Esport opened in 2007 and is situated next to the Olympic stadium. Visitors can use simulators to run against Carl Lewi, compare the actual weights lifted by world champions, visit the Hall of Fame and see sports legends, enjoy live sport and take part in a variety of activities. The musuem also has a bar with street terrace, a café on the first floor and gift shop.
Open: Wednesday to Monday 10am-8pm April to September and 10am-6pm October to March
