A 2-in-1 combined Water park and Safari experience on the Costa Dorada. Water shoots for all tastes from the Twister to the ominous sounding 100m Black Hole. There is also a mini park for younger kids, with slides and ramps suitable for toddlers.

Fundació Mona

The Monkey Foundation was created in 2001 in order to rescue and care for different primates. The centre is home to both Chimpanzees and Macaques.  You can vist the centre, adopt a chimp and become a member.  The centre is open to guided visits that must be pre-arranged. The 2 hour educational visits allow you to meet the residents, learn their individual stories, find out how they were rescued and the workings of the centre. Depending on the day they can be conducted in Spanish, Catalan, French or English.  If you donate an old mobile phone, the centre receives funds for recycling them!

Petting farm for kids just outside the city. Donkeys, horses, goats, emus, pot-bellied pigs are among the various animals your little ones can get up close too. The rescuce centre is owned and run by a retired couple.
Open: 10am-1pm daily

Can Cadena Farm in Parc Sant Martí
Within the small park of Sant Martí in a not so pretty neighbourhood stands the traditional Catalan farmhouse, The Masia Can Cadena. The Masia has a small allotment area where retirees tend the vegetables and care for a collection of farmyard animals. Children can learn about organic farming techniques and see the geese, rabbits, chickens and sheep that are kept there.

Masia de Can Cadena and Farm Animal visits: Saturday and Sunday mornings 10am to 2pm.  Access from Ronda de Sant Martí and Carrer de Menorca, Carrer de l'Agricultura and Carrer de Huelva.  Metro: L3 Sant Martí

Can Mestres Farm
Barcelona's recently renovated hillside farm of Can Mestres is a farm, run voluntarily by retirees. It  has 300m2 of space dedicated to environmental education. Children can learn how a farm works and see the 22 animals (incl. hens, goats and rabbits) at this unique green area in the district of Sants-Montjuic. The farm is divided into 52 different allotments of 40m2 which are all run by retirees.
