Kids in Barcelona - Family and parents guide to activities, shopping, holiday apartments, events, health, schools and nurseries, babysitting and childcare, and playgroups in Barcelona.

As a new parent living in Barcelona,  I began to realise how much the city has to offer culturally and activity-wise for children.  I discovered parks that previously I had never been to, soft play centres that I did not know existed and of course all the less obvious shops that I could go to in order to find exactly what I needed.  I also realised that I was missing out on family activities at the museums and art centres, children's shows and  workshops that were regularly being organised around town as I did not have a central place to find them.

I met other parents who had just moved to Barcelona with children and needed essential information on health and schooling whilst more and more I noticed visitors to the city, travelling with kids, who were not sure how to use the public transport system or where to take children to eat and keep them entertained. 

Activities on the Events list are updated regularly and gradually more parks, playgrounds, shops and other resources will be added as the site grows. Please feel free to make any recommendations!
