Barcelona Sightseeing Tours

See also our section on Kids' Activities for a full list of museums, cultural centres, parks, play centres and just about everything you can do in Barcelona with children!

You might find it helpful and more entertaining for kids to take a guided tour of the city. As well as tourist buses , there are walking tours, boat cruises and even helicopter sky tours of the city. Bike tours usually only have adult-sized bikes but if you have very young children see Getting Around Town for bike rental companies that provide child seats and take advantage of the promenades, and bike routes around the city.

Barcelona Tourist bus

Barcelona Bus
Barcelona’s Bus Turístic is a great way to visit the city with all the family. An open-top bus is always a hit with kids and you can get a fairly thorough idea of most of the city’s sights without exhausting those little legs in the process. You can hop off where you like or decide which sights you would like to come back and get a closer look at another day. It also beats working out the city’s bus and metro routes when you are on a timeframe but would like to get a feel for the whole city. You are also given a discount voucher booklet onboard which can be use for admission to many of the musems and centres.

The bus runs either a Northern (Red) Route or a Southern (Blue) Route. There are at total of 42 stops. From April 7th until September 30th there is an additional Forum (Green) route. The tickets are valid on all routes so you can change at any of the inter-connecting stops.

Times: Timetables available at bus stops and on the bus. Bus runs between every 5 and 25 minutes depending on the time of year.

Price: Adult 1 day €19.00; Child 1 day €11.00 (4 -12 yrs) 2 consecutive day options available

Tickets can be purchased on board, at Barcelona tourist information centres, Sants Station and at TMB customer service centres.
