Barcelona has a large number of both public and private swimming pools although in many cases you need to be a member of the gym or pool in order to use the facilities. The pools below offer entry on a daily basis although prices can be steep and access depends on the space available.

Outdoor pools are limited in number and only a few allow you to enter as a non-member. Daily rates can be high so you may wish to make a day of it. There are also restrictions on numbers of bathers and of course members take priority. Call before if you can to see if there is a possibility of getting in - weekdays are easier. There are some cheaper outdoor paddling pools in parks that are good for cooling off.

Remodelled and expanded for the Olympics, the indoor pools are open all year and the outdoor pools are open to the public in summer.

Platja de la Nova Icaria

Seawater "Swimming pool" with diving board. Large bathing area sectioned off as a rudimentary swimmng pool away from the open sea. See Barcelona Beaches.

Vast paddling pool with grass and shaded areas. Children’s swings and slides, plus cafeteria.

21st June – 11th September 10am – 8pm. Under 3's Free. Entrance between €3-€5 depending on age.
