December Activities at CaixaForum
This
December, you can enjoy a range of free and reasonably priced
activities organised for families at the CaixaForum. Artistic
workshops, children's cinema and family performances are programmed
throughout the month and Christmas period. Entertainment includes
magic and illusions, Mozart's one-act comic opera, Bastien and
Basitienne, an animation of A Christmas Carol, a colourful and
lively puppet show and Christmas storytelling around the fireplace.
Enigma - Illusions for all the family
Sergi Buka's one man show, Enigma, brings together a range of visual effects that have made history in the world of illusionists.

Inspiracions: The works of Luis Gordillo
A family workshop that focuses on the current exhibit of the works of Luis Gordillo. Artists may produce original works of art but often draw upon the
influences around them. This workshop looks at how through the inspiration
of others we can create something unique!
FREE activity. Suitable for 5 year olds and over.

Abuelo Ramón
Nora's
grandfather cannot remember her name. He has been losing his memory for
some time now. Nora leads him on a journey through his lifetime memories in an
effort to help. A story about the relationshop between generations, a grandfather and a grand daughter, that focusses on our wish to remember, our desire to learn and our
ability to create.

Christmas Workshops
Una Navidad de Cuento is a storytelling workshop that features traditional Christmas tales told around the fireplace.

Monday to Saturday from 11am-2pm and 4pm-8pm.
Sundays and holidays and 24th and 31st December and 5th January from 11am-2pm.
Chilldren's workshop Cambodja, tierra de esperanza (Cambodia Land of Hope ) takes place alongside the photographic exhibition of the works of Gervasio Sánchez. Learn about the reality of life in this South East Asian country and the the need for peace.

Mozart Opera
Bastián y Bastiana is
the one act comic opera composed by Mozart when he was only 12 years of
age. Bastienne fears that her sweetheart Bastien may be
falling for another and enlists the help of local soothsayer, Cola, in
order to win back her lover's affections.

A Christmas Carol - Un Cuento de Navidad
An animated film, based on the Christmas classic, by Charles Dickens that incorporates real actors.

Jukebox - Puppet Show
A
lively puppet show that entertains with fast costume and set changes. The heads
of the puppets are, in fact, the puppeteers heads, a variation that gives life and
colour to a range of unusual characters.

Le stagioni di pallina
Enter into the magical setting of a painter´s workshop where an actress
tells a story through dance and music. The artist meanwhile creates
images which are projected onto a screen in this unique piece of
theatrical improvisation.

Estrellas Fugaces
A
film featuring four Scandinavian stories that address universal issues
such as friendship, war and racism that are all explained in a simple
and enlightening way.

Komaneko Un Gato Curioso
An
appealing film for a younger audience that follows the adventures of
Komaneko the cat who sets out to produces his own movie with cameras, costumes,
sets and all!

Family Presentations at CaxiaForum
Families can enjoy fun and entertaining presentations of the current
exhibitions at the CaixaForum which will help them make the most of their
visit. You can also liven up your visit with the Juego de pistas, a treasure hunt style game available daily at the information desk which is suitable for 5 year olds and over.

Art Workshops at CaixaForum
In the Espacio Educativo, families can explore the various
exhibitions, “Maurice de Vlaminck, un instint fauve”, “Los mundos del
Islam” and “La mirada del artista” through the independent workshops that are open daily from 10am to 8pm.
For all activities, tickets may be reserved in advance or purchased
directly at the ticket office.
Library cardholders are offered a 50% discount on ticket prices.
Reserved tickets should be collected up
to one hour prior to the activity.
