Personal Trainers in Barcelona
Living in or near a big city, like Barcelona, puts a lot of strain on
both our body and mind. Those inevitable stressful situations that we
cope with every day consume a lot of our energy. Children in particular
are vulnerable to these daily pressures as well as to environmental
elements as they tend to spend more time outdoors. Although there are children who actively participate in sports and belong to teams or clubs, the numbers who do so continue to decline. Partly this is due to a lack of focus by schools on sporting activities and partly due to parental disinterest or lack of time. Extra-curricular sports in Barcelona tend to take place at outside clubs and are late in the evening, making attendance sometimes difficult. The decline in physical activity is also of course due to the general issues of excessive TV watching, internet surfing and playing video games, which now constitute a large part of children's every day life.
Parents, unfortunately, do not always live a much healthier lifestyle
than their children. Long hours in the office, eating quick meals or
fast processed foods are major factors in the deterioration of a
healthy diet. There are, of course, many parents who take a
responsible and proactive attitude to their children’s well-being and
health. It often remains difficult to maintain this, however, given the
pressures of modern day city life. When it comes to the food we eat at
home and the amount of time we spend taking exercise, for some
families, unhealthy lifestyle patterns can be hard to break. At Active 8 we take a holistic approach to training and try to keep the courses fun. We offer personal coaching to both adults and children. Specifically for kids, we also offer a sports coaching programme for talented individuals. So if you think your child has the makings of a future tennis pro or just needs to excel enough to make it into the 1st team, we can really hone into their core talents and improve their skills. People approach us with different goals. It could be controlling cholesterol levels, weight management, postural change, or improving nutrition. Others want the motivation and guidance to increase their level of physical activity, condition or stamina or need to improve their performance in a chosen sport after being injured.
