Summer Activities for Children in Barcelona

summer for children in Barcelona From the Barcelona zoo, art and language courses to sports and work camps, Barcelona offers a variety of options for children's activities throughout most of the summer with a few running during the month of  August. You can also check with local ludotecas , civic centres , Esplais and Sports centres as the majority of them offer summer daytime activities.  Indoor soft play centres also schedule summer casals which a part from play, organise workshops and other activities.  Language courses and creative summer programmes are also available from centres such as Collage, the American School of Barcelona, the Benjamin Franklin International School and Blossom Kindergarten. 

 

The Fundacio Pere Tarrés has a wide variety of summer programmes for both young children from 3-12 years and older teenagers at  various locations in and around Barcelona.  You can opt for morning or full day sessions with courses running from the 25th June to the 1st of August and the 1st of September until the 10th.  The foundation offers flexible programmes and timetables with an additional before and after care service. 

 

Fundacio Pere Tarrés activities range from workshops to games, sports, drama, story telling, swimming and outings. From the end of June and throughout July they run English language Summer Camps near Barcelona at various locations on the coast and inland. Children of from 6-12 years are offered a real hands-on English language experience. Week long Sports camps for this age group are also held close to the city in Tiana.

For older kids from 12 to 17 years there are options for sports camps, English language camps and activity camps in Mallorca. Children may also go on a cultural visit to England in association with International House Barcelona. If you want your kids to put some effort in during the summer, you may even consider sending them on one of the Environmental work camps offered around the city.
