| The IB International Baccalaureate |
|
The International Baccalaureate is a pre-university course and diploma that gives students access to over 1,000 universities worldwide. Pupils take the course between the ages of 16-19 years and it is an alternative to the Spanish bachilleratos, A-level, or the American High School diploma. The IB is described as a, "comprehensive and rigourous programme...based on the pattern of no single country", and with such a good reputation, more and more schools are aiming to incorporate it into their course offering. The course is examined objectively across schools and students who pass are accepted at leading universites in over 119 countries.
