International schools in Barcelona typically follow a Spanish curriculum but encourage a high level of English with many subjects being taught in the language. Cambridge and other external English language examinations will be taken as part of the curriculum. The IB, International Baccalaureate is currrently only available in a few schools.
St Paul's School St Paul's school follows a Spanish curriculum with classes taught in English. St. Peter´s School St Peter's school follows a Spanish curriculum with classes taught in English. Ages from 18 months (in the "Babies" group) to 18 years. The main focus is on a billingual education. The school overlooks the city from a hillside in Pedralbes. Spanish and Catalan are introduced at primary level and later French and German. Lots of after-school sports activities. Pupils 75% Spanish, 25% foreign. Collegi Europa International School A modern school, recently extending with excellent sports and dance facilities (incl. ballet). Mainly Catalan pupils from ages 1-18 years. Option to study the IB, International Baccalaureate. Strong emphasis on English and other languages with many cultural projects and exchanges organised throughout the year. Focus on rounded education with high academic and sporting acheivement. Hamlin International School Laie Infant (0-6 yrs), primary(6-12 yrs) and Secondary (12-18 yrs) school offering a trillingual eduation (50% English, 25% Catalan, 25% Spanish). 13 km from Barcelona - school bus service from the city. Spanish curriculum.
The International School of Catalunya Colegio Internacional SEK de Catalunya The English School Small school with mainly Spanish pupils. Education with emphais on English for children ages 3-12 years.
