Multilingual childcare and activities. 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Hello to all of you!

I will settle in Barcelona really soon (June) and I would like to offer/organize some childcare activities.

First of all, I am a mum myself. I have a cute 5 year old boy, and I held a private daycare in Brussels for expat children.

I am fluent in the following languages: French, Dutch and English, and have some basics in German. I am really active and creative, and enjoy organizing sports activities and artcrafting activities. For years I have been teaching French to native English kids.

As I am looking to stay active while I follow my partner to Barcelona, I am available for all your childcare needs during daytime. (For your info, our flat is located just off the Plaza Catalunya, and I don't mind moving around Barcelona).

After school hours, I could still mind your children, but then it would be with my son. Or it could be nice to organize a little playdate or even a babysitting circle so that our kids get to play together. If you are particularly interested in French for your child, we could do a kind of language exchange: babysitting could be in French with me, and in your family the kids could play together in English. My son speaks French and English and I did this type of babysitting exchanges for the last two years! And the kids become good friends too.

One last thing: as my son will attend the lycee français and will only have two hours of Spanish per week, I would like to organize a little Spanish immersion group for kids aged 5-8, would someone be interested to join, or does anybody know of an existing group?

And of course, any recommendation on existing playgroups for children of my son's age are always welcome! Really want to do some networking, for both me and my son. I hope to hear from you soon.
