Presents on the 25th or the 6th January? 11 Months, 2 Weeks ago
As we are possibly all foreigners and therefore foreign to the idea of giving gifts from the Kings on the 6th January, what do people do who have children here? Do you keep Christmas day as the biggie, especially if you go back home to other family? What do you then give the children on the 6th - more pressies or token gifts so that they still feel part of the festivities with their classmates and friends. Any advice?

I think that it makes sense to do both. It seems like Christmas Day is getting more popular with Father Christmas etc. and my Catalan inlaws do both with similar emphasis although I guess there are more presents on the Kings day. It is important for children to feel part of where they live obviously. The best thing about Kings Day is that if you have been overseas for Christmas you know that while everyone else is slipping into post Christmas blues you have another holiday to look forward to!
