Which are good barrios for kids? 5 Months ago
Hello!

We are moving to Barcelona soon and I will be making important decisions regarding housing very soon, so please give your opinion on the following:

What neighbourhood in Barcelona would you concider best for kids? Safe, playgrounds, clean and so on.

I heard that Sarria and St Gervasi are very good options, but now I have started to concider Diagonal mar or as well.

Are there any bad areas of poblenou? (isnt that the area where diagonal mar and vila olimpica is?), becasue we might not get a place in the nearest public school
because we will be very late to apply..

Are there any other neighbourhood anyone can recommend?

I would like there to be good primary public schools around for my son.

Thanks!!!

Hi - Sarria and St Gervasi are lovely, expensive, but lovely. Pedrables is even further up the scale! just a bit further North/East in the "Zona Alta" of Gracia is quite nice too - near Penitents (there is a small section that is scheduled for revamp that at the moment is a bit iffy under the bridge near Vallcarca) Vila Olimpica is very new and sterile by my view.

If you don't mind going outside the city a bit Sant Cugat, Esplugues and Sant Just Desvern, are quite nice and have good international schools
