You would have to show that your baby was born here which means a Libro de Familia which you get when the birth is registered. When I asked they said that was all you needed. I think that is probably sufficient as it perhaps implies you are resident or were when you had the baby. Then again it often seems to depend on who you see on the day..

I am keen to apply for the working mums benefit, but can´t find where my local tax office is, despite having looked on the website for the generalitat and the agencia tributaria. Can anyone tell me where the tax office is for Poble Sec? (comes under Sants-Montjuic, i think.)
Does anyone know if you have to have done a "declaration de renta" to apply, as i have only been paying tax since last October and have yet to do the declaration.

Hi Denise,

I have not received it myself but understood from my gestor that you can apply straight away and get 100 euros monthly in your account regardless of last year's renta. If you want it taken off your tax at the end of the year and perhaps get it all in one lump sum then yes, you would have to wait to do the annual declaracion.

I live close to you and use the Agencia Tributaria between the bottom of Parallel and colon. It is the building opposite the Maritime museum and the 157, 57 and 64 stop there.

You can only get 100 euros deposited in your account once a month if you are working full time or a substantial number of hours part-time. I started out like that, but was later sent an official letter saying I could not get the 100 euros deposited in my account because of my low income from working. However, I can still claim the 1,200 euros when I do the annual tax form.
