Description

The main annual Festa Major of Poble Espanyol with Free Entry to this Barcelona attraction

 

Throughout the day and evening there will be performances, a parade, games and food.  There will also be a chance to watch the amazing musical fireworks that mark the end of Barcelona's main festival of La Merce from a viewing point within the village.

Outdoor games in the Plaza Major.

A parade through the streets of the village.

Goya Exhibition "The disasters of war"

Paintings depicting the Spanish War of Independence 1810-1814

Permanent Exhibition of more than 300 works from diverse painters including Picasso, Dali and Miro.

 

10am-8pm

Visit the Main Hall of the Valencian governement palace and the chapel and cloister of the Sant Miquel Monastery.

 

10pm

Watch the musical fireworks from the viewing platform of the Monastery. (limited to 200 people).

A mock village built at the beginning of the 20th century with its own districts according to the type of historic Spanish architecture. There are 40 workshops where you can see 21 different types of craftsmanship at work, shops, art galleries and several restaurants. For familes there is plenty of space to explore as well as picnic areas and, on Sundays, children's actvities and shows are organised outside.
