From 7pm on Saturday until midnight on Sunday, a stretch of beach at Nova Icaria will be alive with the annual camp out the weekend before the start of the huskie sledge race through the Pyrenee mountains. The weekend is a chance to find out more about this adventurous international competition that has 125 participants and also have some fun with activities for kids and adults alike. As part of the weekend there will be representatives from animal protection organisations on Sunday who will be there to encourage pet adoption.Last year alone over 100 pets were adopted at this event. Igloos, tents, dogs and demonstrations as well as workshops and face painting. |
